[Subscriber Exclusive] The Washer at the Ford: The Coming Shift of the Pisces New Moon
Loving the storm, trusting the tides—what's dissolving, what’s emerging, and how we move forward
This Pisces New Moon isn’t just a reset—it’s a reckoning. A moment of dissolution, where the past loosens its grip and we are asked to surrender to what’s next. But surrender isn’t passive. It’s an act of trust, of knowing that even when the waters are murky, something new is forming beneath the surface.
This lunation brings closure, clarity, and the first quiet stirrings of a new path. It’s a time to reflect on what’s slipping away, to recognize the illusions we’ve outgrown, and to make peace with the liminal space before the next wave arrives.
Some things are meant for deeper reflection. I’m sharing additional insights, a powerful tarot spread, and ways to make the most of this New Moon’s energy with my paid subscribers. If you’re already in, let’s go deeper. If not, now’s a great time to start. If you’re new here and feeling lost, use your free preview on this article to find the support you need.
For those ready to go deeper, I’ve outlined the key themes of this moment, along with a Pisces New Moon tarot spread to help navigate what’s ending and what’s emerging. I’ve also included journal prompts for reflection and insight—because understanding this cycle means understanding the part we play in it.
The Washer at the Ford: An Omen of Death, A Rite of Rebirth
Yesterday in therapy, I spoke about the paradox of trauma—how I wish I had never endured certain experiences, yet how essential they were in shaping the person I am today. The past was painful, but those struggles formed the foundation of something remarkable: me.
Understanding the relationship between cause and effect is fundamental to human nature. True self-awareness emerges only when we can fully grasp the arc of our own stories, recognizing the patterns that have shaped us. The battles we face today are often echoes of those we fought long ago, appearing in new forms, yet rooted in the same wounds.
But what if, instead of fighting these demons, we spoke to them? What if we met them with compassion, invited them in, and listened to what they had to say? Perhaps, in doing so, we would find that they, too, long to be understood.
There are parts of my past I despise, moments I wish I had never lived through—but the fires I walked through forged me. And while I may resent the suffering, I would never trade the person I have become.
When I step back and consider the astrology of this moment—the cycles we are revisiting—I find something unexpected: hope.
We are in the throes of growing pains. It will be painful. It will be brutal, even devastating. There will be loss, and we will be forced to confront uncomfortable truths. But from this turmoil, something new can emerge.
History reminds us that transformation is born from struggle.
The Revolutionary War severed our ties to England and forged a new nation.
The Civil War ended slavery, redefining the meaning of freedom.
And now? Perhaps we stand on the precipice of a new kind of liberation—one that challenges the very structures we have taken for granted. Maybe now is the time we find our freedom from capitalism and learn that it’s not every person for themselves, but a collective group effort. It’s possible, even plausible, that this is how we relearn to love our neighbors, no matter who our neighbors are.
Our forefathers understood that this country would never be perfect, which is why they aspired to create a more perfect union. Any lasting partnership—whether it’s between business partners, romantic partners, or partners within a nation—requires work, adaptation, and the willingness to evolve.
Without darkness, we cannot know light. Without hardship, we cannot recognize joy. Without bad, we cannot know good. Both are necessary, and both bring us closer to something greater.
As I’ve said since last summer: It’ll be a mess, and then it’ll be fine.
The Pisces New Moon is a turning point—an ending, a reckoning, and a quiet invitation to trust what’s coming next. There’s more beneath the surface, and for those ready to go deeper, I’ve got insights on what’s dissolving, what’s emerging, and how to align with the shift. If you’re already with me, let’s dive in. If not—now’s the time.
