The Cost of Safety: Venus is Home but is Not Alone
Week Ahead Forecast, June 1–7, Venus in Taurus Squares Pluto in Aquarius
Venus enters Taurus this week and is immediately pulled into a conflict she didn’t want. Venus arrives in her own sign, a place that should offer steadiness, embodiment, and peace. Instead, she’s welcomed by a square from Pluto in Aquarius, which motivates Venus to conform to his ideas of unity and control. The pressure between them builds and builds to intolerable levels, and what's supposed to be relaxing is made conditional. Things we take for granted as basic necessities are suddenly dangled in front of us, teasing that we can get them if we behave and perform as expected.
You might not notice it immediately, but the signals are there: the self-doubt that creeps in when someone's eyebrow goes up, the sudden self-censorship applied because you don't want to rock the boat, or the secrets you keep just because it's easier. It may feel like your individual reaction, but it isn't. They’re systemic cues we all feel, and this week, they accumulate and burst into the public eye.
This forecast is not about a crisis. It’s about access. It’s about what’s being asked of you in exchange for being “okay”—and who taught you to believe that was a fair trade.

Hey, Beautiful—
Venus enters Taurus under the pretense of relief, but her square with Pluto in Aquarius alters the entire landscape. What should mark a shift into comfortable familiarity becomes complicated by unseen negotiations around safety, access, performance and pride. This isn’t about whether you get to relax, it's about whether relaxation is even available without consequence.
Pluto's taskmaster square does not cut Venus a break from completing its retrograde period through Aries and Pisces, demanding that certain conditions and terms be met before anyone gets to sleep. This configuration reframes rest as something earned, not needed for normal function. Venus wants to return to the basics—touch, stillness, food, intimacy—but Pluto demands an explanation. In response, many people will comply without realizing they’ve been told to.
This week exposes where your relationship to ease has already been shaped by fear, and whether you still believe the cost is worth paying. Taurus welcomes Venus with Aquarius on the Ascendant, putting Taurus in the 4th House. These tensions are in the most personal zones of identity and belonging. Venus might be home, but the rules have changed while she was away.
🔥 KEY TRANSITS THIS WEEK
📆 June 6 – Venus Enters Taurus, Squares Pluto in Aquarius
“Come Home, Get Inspected.”
Venus returns to Taurus and lands squarely in Pluto’s ideological trap. The promise of comfort becomes a performance audit. What looks peaceful might just be well-managed suppression. Expect themes around bodily autonomy, material security, and emotional labor to surface. You may feel the tension in how rest becomes suspicious or intimacy starts to feel like surveillance. Power doesn’t need to raise its voice this week—it just needs you to question whether you’ve earned your rest.
🎯 CHEAT CODES FOR THE WEEK
🛌🏻 You don’t have to earn rest. If you’re waiting for permission to slow down, you’re already past the point of needing it. Take a nap.
😤 If staying calm takes effort, it’s not calm—it’s self-monitoring. Who is benefiting?
⛏️ When you edit your words to avoid a reaction, you’re not communicating; you’re managing someone else’s comfort. Have you considered your comfort?
💬 JENNY’S ADVICE
The tension this week is ever-present, but it's flying under the radar. You may find yourself behaving in ways that feel familiar but don’t sit right—suppressing a thought, holding your breath, saying you’re fine when you’re not. It’s easy to mistake this for being careful or professional or polite. It’s harder to admit it might be fear, and that it feeds into the narratives told by others to keep themselves going.
The astrology isn’t telling you to blow up your life. It’s asking you to notice where you’re defaulting to performance over presence. This week, take note of where in your life you're refusing to make waves because if you do, life gets hard. If you can’t relax without explaining yourself, that isn’t rest. If you edit the truth so it sounds less disruptive, that isn’t peace.
If someone thinks you're too much, tell them to go find less.
This week asks you to notice where you're still avoiding authenticity and how you can be a little bit braver.
You’re allowed to be complicated. You’re allowed to be visible while being unsure. You’re allowed to stop making yourself easy to swallow just to keep the temperature in the room comfortable.
The "I don't like your tone" crowd isn't here for you to impress. If they don't like your tone, maybe they should have listened the first thousand times you said something. If they don't like what you're saying, maybe they can take a hike. If you don't like what they're doing, maybe it's time for you to put your money where your mouth is and say adios to a whole life that doesn’t suit you.
This week’s tension will test your sense of normalcy. You may think you’re choosing rest, opting for grace, giving someone the benefit of the doubt. But underneath, there’s often a calculation—how much discomfort can I absorb before I become a problem? My friend, that is not peaceful. That’s exhaustion dressed as diplomacy.
No wonder you’re so fucking tired all the time.
Venus in Taurus wants to trust its instincts; Pluto in Aquarius wants everything to be explainable, legible, and measured against collective norms. When these two clash, rest becomes rebellion, softness becomes suspect, and comfort turns into a battleground. The moment you choose to relax, to stop performing, to take up space without apology—you’ll feel the eyes on you, even if no one’s saying a word.
This is the part where you learn to recognize what’s been taken from you by systems that confuse burnout with virtue. If you’ve ever felt guilty for canceling plans, if you’ve talked yourself out of basic needs, if you’ve felt like being calm was a luxury you hadn’t earned—you are not alone. You are not imagining it. And you’re not crazy for wanting to opt out.
Self-care is more than a bubble bath.

🌠WEEKLY HOROSCOPES BY ZODIAC SIGN
Read for your Sun and Rising sign to get the clearest picture of how this week’s astrology will land for you. These horoscopes are based on where Venus and Pluto interact in your chart based on your Ascendant—understanding their relationship this week can help you prepare to throw down the gauntlet and say enough is enough.
♈ Aries
The tension is centered around your sense of place—where you live, who you live with, and what home means when no one’s watching. Pluto in your 11th is demanding you show up for the collective, but Venus wants you to slow down and protect what’s yours. This week tests how much of yourself you’re willing to give away just to keep your name in the group chat.
♉ Taurus
You’re the one feeling this most directly. With Venus moving into your sign, you should be able to exhale—but Pluto from the 10th House makes it feel like you’ve got a camera pointed at your every move. Your body knows what it needs, but your reputation won’t shut up long enough to let you follow it. This week is about reclaiming control over the image you’ve been performing.
♊ Gemini
Your mind is racing, but your soul is begging for stillness. Venus moves into your 12th and calls you inward, asking for silence and slowness. Pluto in the 9th, though, is loud with philosophies and power plays, reminding you what happens when you go off-script. This week challenges you to prioritize peace even if no one else validates it.
♋ Cancer
You want support and belonging, but you also want sovereignty. Venus in your 11th calls you to deepen the spaces where you feel chosen—not just needed. Pluto’s pressure in the 8th forces you to confront whether those relationships are built on shared value or shared obligation. Don't confuse proximity with intimacy.
♌ Leo
You’re either the boss or you’re being bossed around—there’s no in between this week. Venus moves through your 10th and reminds you how badly you want to be seen for what you do. Pluto in your 7th won’t let it happen without scrutiny. Are you chasing applause or delivering truth? If the audience matters more than the message, you’ve already lost the plot.
♍ Virgo
Your values are under review, but it doesn’t feel intellectual—it feels spiritual. Venus in your 9th is asking you to reconnect with what makes you feel grounded in a world that feels foreign. Meanwhile, Pluto in your 6th demands you keep up with tasks and deadlines. You can’t work your way out of existential discomfort. Give your beliefs the same care you give your inbox.
♎ Libra
This week highlights how much of your identity is wrapped up in appearances and mutual expectations. Venus moves through your 8th and asks you to get honest about what's behind the curtain. Pluto in the 5th exposes the power dynamics in your creative life and romantic play. If you’ve been pretending not to care, that lie ends here.
♏ Scorpio
Your relationships are under the microscope, but not because someone’s picking a fight. Venus in your 7th shows you the moments when partnership feels like peace; Pluto in the 4th shows you what’s been buried underneath. It’s not enough to get along. You have to want the same things—and say them out loud.
♐ Sagittarius
You’re trying to keep your cool, but your body is telling on you. Venus in your 6th House wants rest and routine, but Pluto in the 3rd fills your mind with scripts and arguments. Every interaction feels loaded. The answer isn’t isolation—it’s discernment. Choose what deserves your energy. Then give it your full presence.
♑ Capricorn
What you create is worth more than you realize, but that doesn’t mean you owe it to everyone. Venus in your 5th revives the joy of play, art, and love without strings. Pluto in the 2nd warns you not to underprice yourself just to avoid rejection. You don’t need a permission slip to take yourself seriously.
♒ Aquarius
You know what needs to change, but it still feels like you’re waiting for someone else to say it first. Venus in your 4th turns your attention to comfort, legacy, and emotional inheritance. Pluto in your 1st reminds you that you are the change. If you want safety, you’ll have to define it for yourself.
♓ Pisces
This week can either dissolve your boundaries or reinforce them—depending on how well you’ve been maintaining your inner world. Venus in your 3rd teaches you how to speak kindly and clearly. Pluto in the 12th stirs up shadows that thrive in silence. You don’t need to make a speech. You just need to mean it when you speak.

Venus enters Taurus = Princess of Lovely Bitches

[Regina George voice] Why are you so obsessed with being liked? Chances are, you don’t even like the people you’re trying to impress, so what are you even doing? Come on.
💡 FINAL THOUGHTS
There’s nothing soft about being honest when everyone around you is pretending to be fine. They'll gaslight you into silence, make you feel crazy to keep the peace, or shame you for having a problem to resolve. This week doesn’t demand emotional displays or dramatic decisions. It just asks you to stop shrinking your truth for the sake of comfort—yours or anyone else’s. You may feel the urge to keep things smooth, light, and unbothered, but what's the price of it? If you're going out of your way to keep the peace, is it really peace you're keeping?
Maybe it’s Pluto’s influence, and not actual desire?
Venus has earned her rest, and she doesn't want to fight for it anymore. She's ready to relax in real luxury. And sometimes what’s real is messy, inconvenient, or too loud for the room. That doesn’t make it wrong. That makes it authentic.

"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great." — Jimmy Dugan
Definitely hitting, Taurus S and Pisces R. I’ve been keeping the peace for years with a family situation, but for the last month I have definitely been like- why am I letting these people be so comfortable trying to center themselves in MY energy? I’m very, see everything, say nothing usually- but I’ve been exploding situations left and right where injustice is occurring. My advice was Knight of Pentacles, which to me is, stand my ground and build new structures to exist in, something I have a lot of experience with. Anyway, you’re great and also accurate af. 🧡
